Every AutoLetter campaign goes through different statuses. Depending on the current status, different actions are available to you.

| Paused | Campaign is temporarily stopped | No |
| Ended | Campaign is permanently completed | No |
You can launch a campaign in Draft status using the green play button in the campaign overview or detail view. Once you launch, AutoLetter begins processing and sending letters.
Before launching, carefully review all settings -- especially target audience, template, and budget.
If you want to temporarily stop sending, you can pause a running campaign.
What happens when you pause:
How to pause a campaign:
Go to the campaign overview and select the active campaign.
Click the Pause button in the action bar.
Confirm the pause. The campaign immediately switches to "Paused" status.
Letters already in production or in transit cannot be stopped. Only the sending of new letters is prevented.
You can resume a paused campaign at any time. The campaign picks up exactly where it was paused.
Simply click the Resume button in the action bar of the paused campaign. The status switches back to "Active" and new letters are generated and sent again.
If you want to permanently close a campaign, you can end it.
Ending a campaign is irreversible. An ended campaign cannot be restarted or resumed. If you're unsure, pause the campaign instead.
How to end a campaign:
Select the campaign you want to end.
Click the End button in the action bar.
Confirm the action. You'll be explicitly warned that this step cannot be undone.
After ending, all statistics and sent letters remain viewable. You can continue to analyze and export campaign data.
Regardless of the status (except for ended campaigns), you can adjust the budget at any time. This is especially useful when you want to:
