The budget is your most important control tool in AutoLetter. It determines how many letters are sent and ensures you always have your spending under control. You can set both a daily budget and a total budget.
The daily budget limits the maximum spending per day. AutoLetter sends letters until the daily limit is reached -- then continues the next day.
Setting range: 25 EUR to 2,000 EUR per day

You can set the amount using the quick-select buttons, the slider, or by direct input.
Start with a low daily budget (25-50 EUR) and increase it gradually once you see the first results. This keeps you in control and lets you evaluate your campaign's performance.
The total budget sets the upper limit for the entire duration of the campaign. Once this amount is reached, sending stops automatically -- regardless of whether the campaign is still running.

As soon as you set a budget, AutoLetter shows you a preview of the estimated letter count. This preview distinguishes between:
This lets you immediately see how many recipients you can reach with your budget.
You don't need to plan your budget perfectly in advance. AutoLetter allows you to adjust the budget at any time during a running campaign:
Go to the campaign overview and select the desired campaign.
Switch to the Budget tab in the campaign detail view.
Increase or reduce the daily or total budget as needed. The change takes effect immediately.
Once the total budget is exhausted, sending stops automatically. The campaign doesn't switch to "Ended" status but remains active -- it just won't send any more letters until you increase the budget.
Letters already handed off to DHL will still be delivered even if the budget has been exhausted in the meantime. These costs will still be charged.
