A workspace is your personal work area in AutoLetter. It contains all your data and serves as the central organizational unit of the platform. In this article, you will learn what a workspace includes, how data separation works, and what status information is available.
Your workspace brings together all areas you use in AutoLetter:
Each of these areas exists within your workspace and is completely separated from other workspaces.
When you register with AutoLetter, a workspace is automatically created for you. You do not need to do anything -- after registration, you are immediately in your workspace and can get started. The workspace ID is stored in your browser session so that you are directed to the correct work area with every login.
Each workspace is a self-contained, isolated unit. This means:
The strict data separation ensures that you can manage different business areas, brands, or projects cleanly separated from each other without any mixing of data.
You can use multiple workspaces in AutoLetter. This is especially useful when you:
Each workspace is billed independently and has its own complete configuration.
Each workspace has certain status flags that show you its current state:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Setup completed | You have completed the basic configuration of the workspace (profile data, payment method, sender address) |
| Open invoices | There are unpaid invoices in this workspace. This may restrict the use of certain features |
| Billing active | Invoicing is correctly set up and all payment details are on file |
If your workspace has the "Open invoices" status, certain features may be restricted. Settle open invoices promptly to use all features without limitations.
Each workspace has its own billing address. This is used for all invoices and billings within that workspace. Make sure the billing address is correct and complete before you start campaigns. This includes:
When you create a new workspace, go through the basic configuration first: complete your profile data, add a payment method, and create at least one sender address. This ensures your workspace is ready for campaign launches.
