With the Shopify integration, you automatically import orders from your Shopify store into AutoLetter. Additionally, abandoned checkouts are captured, allowing you to win back these customers with targeted letter campaigns.
my-store.myshopify.com)Navigate to the Integrations section in your AutoLetter dashboard.
Click Add to create a new integration.
Choose Shopify from the list of available integration types.
Give it a descriptive name, for example "Shopify Main Store" or "Shopify US".
Enter your Shopify domain -- in the format my-store.myshopify.com. Enter the domain without https://.
Paste your Admin API Access Token. How to create one is explained in the next section.
AutoLetter automatically verifies the connection. On success, the integration is saved and the first synchronization starts after about 15 seconds.
To create an Admin API Access Token, you need to set up a custom app in your Shopify admin:
Go to your Shopify admin and navigate to Settings > Apps and sales channels.
Click on Develop apps. If app development is not yet enabled, you need to activate it first.
Click Create an app and give it a name, e.g., "AutoLetter Integration".
Under API configuration, select the required permissions (scopes). AutoLetter needs at least read access to orders and customers.
The Access Token is only shown once! Copy it immediately and paste it into AutoLetter. If you lose the token, you will need to create a new one.
The Shopify integration also automatically captures abandoned checkouts. These are checkout processes where customers did not complete their purchase. You can use this data in AutoLetter to run targeted win-back campaigns via letter.
After setup, AutoLetter synchronizes your Shopify store automatically every 5-7 minutes. New orders and abandoned checkouts are continuously captured.
You can also connect multiple Shopify stores simultaneously -- each store is managed as its own integration.
Install the app and copy the displayed Admin API Access Token.
